Creole Jazz Concert in Laborie, 22 October

A Creole Jazz concert featuring Alibi (Saint Lucia) and the Jocelyn Ménard Quartet (Guadeloupe), will be held this next Thursday, 22 October, at Laborie's Parish Hall.

It is organised by Labowi Promotions and the Saint Lucia School of Music, with support from the Alliance Française, as part of the Creole Heritage Month.

Tickets: 25$. 7:30pm, sharp.

Jounen Kweyol 2015: wéfléchi, sélébwé èk anmizé!

Laborie is celebrating the 5th edition of its Jounen Kweyol, part of Festen Labowi, starting this Friday, 25 September, from 7:30pm at the Market Square.

The Laborie La Marguerite Society and the Au Leon La Rose Society will participate to the launch, an event 'dubbed' Konba sé flè-a, followed by a performance from Avòt Sèvis, Creole Music Band.

Activities will continue throughout October, with amongst other events a beach party - Mawonn Bòd Lanmè - on 5 October, Kiltè Èydèn featuring Indian cuisine and cultural entertainment, Creole Jazz, Tèt a Tèt,and the Gwan Fèt finale on 25 October.
